To enable us to keep our quality and production at the highest levels, we ensure that the health and safety of our employees are maintained at all times.
Protecting employees from workplace injuries and diseases is our major objective. To achieve this goal, we endeavour to develop, implement, and evaluate our health and safety program to be as effective as possible.
All our employees must work in compliance with health and safety legislation and with the practices and procedures spelt out by the company.
It is in the best interest of all parties to consider accident prevention in every activity. We will ensure the safest,
healthiest workplace possible by requiring that all employees receive ongoing training in health and safety, maintaining communications between management and staff, and leading through actions rather than words.
The responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy workplace is everyone’s responsibility, (from the chief executive officer to all newly hired employees).
To achieve the best practice, we at Spurtech ensure that we have HSE certified officer(s) with the requisite safety procedures and guidelines required for all our projects and maintenance operations.
Our Mindful Workplace Safety Policy covers

Electricity Hazards
Because telecom towers and electrical equipment go together, there's a high risk that electrocution can happen at any moment without warning. We emphasize that our workers should observe caution when working in an environment with exposed wires and limited movement.

Inclement Weather
Telecom workers have to climb communication towers regularly in an effort to keep comms open. Whether responding to disasters, or post-weather incidents, we emphasize that our supervisors not let technicians perform climbing work if the weather poses imminent safety risks, e.g. during lightning storms.

Structure Collapse
When exposed to the elements of sun, rain and windstorms, telecom towers can develop weakened platforms and tend to become potential deathtraps and hazards due to the instability of their structure and supports. We send in a competent technician to inspect and determine supporting structures like poles, walkways, ladders, platforms etc to ascertain their condition and that they are properly secured.

Protective Clothing & Equipment
To reduce the risk of mortal injury and death in the field, we ensure that all our workers wear protective clothing and equipment in the form of hard hats to protect against exposure to voltages or minor falls, electrician's gloves, and fall arrest systems such as harnesses, lifelines and anchor points.
